“Don’t forget your first mind”
This passage from Zeami’s “flower book” reminds us that, in a constantly changing, it is important to occasionally pause and take a moment to recollect where you began and what you first set out to achieve.  This saying, which emanates from the 15th century Muromachi Era, conveys the meaning of Noh.
